Together to create new solutions with biomaterials

SUSTAINABILITY + CIRCULAR ECONOMY + DEVELOPMENT

SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS UNDERWAY

Exploring new forms of green innovation

At Ekolber we are continually undertaking new basic or technological research projects whose results can constitute important steps forward in our knowledge of sustainable biomaterials.

So we offer our knowledge to joint projects with other companies and researchers to make progress with our proposal.

NaturalSkin

Rapid absorption denaturalized collagen dressings.

EKOLBER has developed a rapid absorption linear (denaturalized) collagen made wound dressing called NaturalSkin.
This solution allows to improve dressings healing characteristics (20% of reduction of time of the treatment) due to rapid and complete absorption of the matrix and reduction of dressing application times with a remarkable low price (0.1€/cm²).
Those improvements will contribute to reduce hospitals wound care costs and effectivity considerably.

EUROPEAN PROJECT

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement No: 836871

MÁS INFORMACIÓN

Lanaland

Technological cooperation for alternative uses for wool: replacing plastic and other materials.

The main goal of the LANALAND project is to increase the added value of sheep’s wool from local breeds, commonly a waste product at present, one whose disposal is a problem for local farmers.

The project aims to develop innovative solutions to give value to this product and offer local companies new opportunities for growth from the point of view of the circular economy.

POCTEFA Programme Initiative

The LANALAND project is part of the 2014-2020 POCTEFA V-A Spain-France-Andorra European Cross-border Cooperation Programme and is 65% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
